As players look to continue their development, many pursue training outside of regular season association hockey. Below are some options as a starting point.
SLPHA Programs
SUMMER OF SUNDAYS HOCKEY SKILLS
Join your friends and teammates at the Rec Center! Open to all returning youth (Mite, Squirt, Peewee) and girls (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U). Sessions will be a combination of stations plus small area, cross-ice and half-ice games.

Mite-Specific Training
There are many options for training in the metro area. Here are some of the closest ones for young skaters.

Summer Leagues
An alternative to clinics. Summer hockey can help develop skills with game play, and pair kids with similarly skilled teammates for talent development.
MINNESOTA ALL-STAR HOCKEY
Parent-Organized! Teams are typically formed from SLPHA players within a 1-yr age group (2 teams per level), though groups have combined in the past based on skill/interest. Costs $125-$150 per skater for up to 10 games; no practices. More information
- Spring: April/May (Feb registration)
- Fall: August/September (Jun registration)
3v3 Leagues
3 players and a goalie on a small rink. Register individually or with friends. Leagues available spring, summer, and fall to fit all schedules.

Tryouts in August/September to form teams for the following summer.
