Minnesota Hockey Waiver Rule

Effective the 2024-2025 Season:

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

  • Team managers collect funds to cover scrimmage and tournament expenses. This is variable by team and not intended to be a major expense.

Financial Aid

The St. Louis Park Hockey Association (SLPHA) established a Financial Assistance Program to provide financial assistance to those who may find themselves in a difficult financial situation, which would otherwise prevent their child(ren) from participating in the SLPHA programs.

Financial Assistance is granted on a per season basis and must be reapplied for each year. Financial Assistance is provided in the form of reduced SLPHA registration fees.

The player’s family is still responsible for:

  • Clinic fees
  • Team fees
  • Volunteer deposits
  • Crossbar processing fees

See policy for full details.

In order to be considered for financial assistance, an application form must be completed and returned to SLPHA Treasurer prior to registration.

Each application will be reviewed by the SLPHA Finance Committee. The acceptance of financial assistance will be determined before tryouts begin.
