Required Equipment

All participants in the St. Louis Park Hockey Association are required to have a full set of ice hockey equipment. Ensuring each player has equipment that fits well and properly protects them is critical to having fun and gaining confidence while on the ice.

New to hockey discount programs

Free Gear Program -- Most flexible option.

SLP partner for "new to USA hockey" free gear program. $150 deposit for gear in your first year playing hockey. Return at the end of the season for a full refund, or keep and the gear is yours for summer hockey and the following season(s).

Same equipment pieces provided as in the rental program.

Lettermey Sports + Loyalty Loot -- For all skaters.

Lettermen offers 20% cash back on purchases online or in-store through their loyalty program. No eligibility restrictions.

First-year players who receive the SLPHA Rookie Camp equipment voucher receive additional cash back during their first year.

Free shipping at $50.

Little Wild Learn to Play -- For new skaters.

For less than $200, new players can receive a full set of hockey equipment fitted to the player at Pure Hockey, plus four one-hour on-ice sessions in September led by Minnesota Hockey.

Registration typically opens in May.

Equipment Rental

Mite Equipment Rental -- Legacy Alternative.

Mites and HP 6U/8U skaters living in St. Louis Park can rent gear for Rookie Camp, and/or the winter hockey season for $75. Gear available on a first-come first-served basis, and must be returned following end of season.

Hopkins-based players in HP are not eligible and need to work through the Hopkins association for any equipment needs.
